The way we use and store energy and its effect on climate change and the world we live in is now recognised as a major global concern.

As part of our commitment to educate and disseminate information on pressing global issues, The University of Nottingham has launched the Energy & Climate Change Series of special public lectures and a knowledge transfer events programme.

A Midlands Energy Consortium Event

The Midlands Energy Consortium and the Energy Generation and Supply KTN will show how you can use Knowledge Transfer Partnerships to help your business to innovate, expand or improve performance. With a focus on the energy and sustainability sectors the event will give you an insight on how to access Government funding to help you to collaborate with a university on a project specifically designed to benefit your organisation. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the energy expertise at the universities of Birmingham, Loughborough and Nottingham and to network with academics.

The Rt Hon Hon John Prescott MP, China & Climate Change

As Deputy Prime Minister from 1997-2007, John Prescott played a key role in the Kyoto climate change negotiations. He co-chaired the UK-China Task Force established to deepen relations and foster cooperation between China and the UK.
